Addy Strickland, a swimmer on TDS has proven that being thoughtful can lead to more than bringing her coach to tears due to her kind words. The video she created landed her FIRST PLACE in the My Coach Video Contest thanks to all of our swimmers, parents, extended family and friends votes! We appreciate your time and now have the accomplishment recognized by our governing body Synchro Ontario and better yet our sport recognized by over 75,000 voters. Addy received her recognition and $800 prize on April 13th at the Toronto Coaches Association of Ontario conference. Thank you to our voters for advocating for the importance of sport and acknowledging all of those involved in Addy's endeavor.

This past weekend our two Advanced Recreational teams competed in their first competition in Burlington. The BSSC Rec Extravaganza proved to be very exciting, with 12 clubs competing throughout Ontario. Our teams performed very well, both in and outside of the pool. Our six-woman AR team competed against six other teams and received gold in 'Presentation', coached by Ariana Makris. Emma English coached our eight-woman AR team to a gold in 'Most Memorable Moment' against nine others in their category. All swimmers should be extremely proud of their accomplishments and we hope that they will remember this weekend fondly. Want to see our AR teams in action? They will be at our May 4th watershow with our 11 other recreational teams, and preswimming at OOAGSSC at the end of May. Keep up the great work ladies! |
