A Stellar Start to 2015 for Nepean Synchro

posted Feb 10, 2015, 6:13 PM by Nepean Synchro
2015 is off to a fantastic start for Nepean Synchro. All of our swimmers - from our youngest first-year competitive girls to our most experienced senior swimmers - showed that their love of the sport, combined with commitment and excellent training, really pays off.

The Lisa Alexander Figures meet was the first meet of the season on Saturday, January 10. This was a figures only meet, showcasing the individual talents of our swimmers. Congratulations go out to each and every swimmer for achieving personal bests and conquering the nerves that come with such a competition. Nepean Synchro swimmers placed in the top 6 in every age category, including two first place finishes and three age group trophies. Full results can be found on the Nepean Synchro competitive results page.

Next up was the Gloucester Invitational meet (routine only) on Sunday, January 11. This was the first opportunity for all our teams and extra routines (i.e., duets and solos) to put their hard work to the test in front of judges and an audience. And what a show they put on! The cheering of the crowds and fellow club mates was inspirational, and all teams and extra routines should be proud of their performances. Highlights from this meet include 1st place finishes for our teams in three age categories, as well as multiple first place and podium finishes for our duet and solo swimmers.

Congratulations to all swimmers and coaches on their successful start to the 2015 competitive season.
