The Nepean Synchro Swim Club’s Recreational Program introduces swimmers to Synchronized Swimming. Beginner
level classes develop: comfort in the water, basic sculling skills, and basic synchro positions. Further skill development will
continue as levels increase. Swimmers will be taught a routine, based on their team’s ability, to be performed at the year-
end water show in May. The Recreational Program aims to develop synchronized swimming skills to prepare swimmers
for potential advancement to the competitive program.
Nepean Synchro’s Recreational Program practices are 1.5 hours per week for Levels 1 and 2, for the cost of $550.00, and
2 hours per week for the Level 3/4 classes, for the cost of $650.00. The Advanced Rec class is for recommended
swimmers only. Practices for AR are 2 hrs twice a week, for the cost of $1200.00. All classes run for 31 weeks, from mid
September through to the beginning of May. Fees include the cost of a Routine Suit and Star Testing.
Nepean Synchro offers a SYNCHRO SQUIRTS class. This class is designed for swimmers who are 8 years old and
younger (born 2003 or later). Swimmers need to be comfortable swimming independently in deep water. Class size will
be limited to 6 registrants. This class will be 1.5 hours per week, for the cost of $500.00.

*Important schedule information – Due to pool closures at Walter Baker from Nov 14 – Dec 23 incl., classes held on Thu will
switch to Britannia pool from 7 - 8:30 pm, Fri classes will switch to Thursdays at Britannia from 7 – 9 pm.
There will be no classes Dec 24 to Jan 6 and Mar 11 to 17 inclusive. Watershow is scheduled for Sat May 5 , 2012.

Important Information:
- Class schedules- the rec calendar will be available on the web-site ( www.nepeansynchro.com ) prior to the start of the program and will list all rec classes. Please check carefully for cancelled or rescheduled classes. In the event of any changes to the calendar, you will be notified by e-mail. All club members are responsible for checking their e-mail and the website for scheduling and club information.
- Classes may be cancelled or rescheduled with short notice due to circumstances beyond the control of theNepean Synchro Swim Club for example: bad weather, power outage, and/or pool closure. Every effort will be made tonotify parents if at all possible. If we are unable to reschedule, the club will not be held responsible.
- Equipment required: one-piece swimsuit, bathing cap, goggles, and nose plugs
- The Routine Suit, to be worn only at the Year End Show, is included in the fees. Fittings arranged in the new year.
- Parents are asked not to remain on the pool deck during practice, as it is distracting for swimmers. There are viewing galleries, bleachers, and benches for this purpose if you wish to stay close by.
- Star Testing will be done in December during regular class times. Please advise your coach in advance if you know you will be absent this day or for any extended period of time.
- The Year End Water Show will be at the Nepean Sportsplex the evening of May 05, 2012 (time to be confirmed)

Registration Details:
- Registration will be held at Walter Baker Sports Centre, Barrhaven, 2nd floor, Saturday August 20, 2011 from 9:00 to 10:30 am. Please bring the following completed and signed documents (found on the website):
- Payment can be made in full or in two equal payments with the 2nd cheque post dated to December 15, 2011
- Fee Refund Policy: Fees will be refunded on a pro-rated basis, less a $25.00 administrative fee. In addition, any financial commitments, including but not limited to routine suit, meet fees, and star testing will subtracted from the refund amount. After the latter date of September 30th or 4 swim sessions after registration, no fees will be refunded.
- There will be a $35 fee for NSF cheques
- Class size is limited and will be filled on a first come first serve basis with priority given to in person registrations on August 20th. You will receive an email confirmation before the first class.
- The club reserves the right to cancel or change practice times subject to enrolment.
- Synchro equipment and club merchandise can be ordered at registration.
